and then I went ACE with jiahui on Saturday to find out more bout Flight Engineer (FE) and the answer I’ve got isn’t really nice

” oh, FE.. Currently we don’t have opening for FE (together with her act sad and emo face) and maybe you wanna try Snr Tech cause ultimately you can cross over to FE when there’s opening in the future or even better as an Air Engineering Officer if you plan to pursue an engineering degree and we can provide you with Local Study Award.”

So in conclusion, the trip wasn’t very fruitful afterall, but at least jia hui manage to get his answers :

PS: I was with him listening,

” basically if you want to be a pilot, you have to sign on with a bond of 12 years. *we open our eyes big and raise our eyebrow* yes 12 years. 2 years of training in australia, 10 years of flying in singapore. *we open our eyes big and raise our eyebrow even bigger and higher* You will go through the normal BMT like others at tekong before going to OCS for your common leadership and going to Brunei. you will complete your third stripe in Australia where you will get your wings and be commission as a pilot. Of course you have to take your compass test and air grading. the compass test only last for two years. “

” okay basically how we do it is that CMPB will give us the list of names of the pre-enlistees. from there we will select 500 to come down for their vocational assessment. we’ll then shortlist 100 to go through our diver’s course which is about 9 months, after which you will pass out from the course with the rank of a corporal if you are a diploma holder.

of course if you want to be an officer, that is possible too. because we will select a few from the cohort to go through the leadership training in OCS. that is mainly the case for nsf. if you want to sign on however, you may want to try my route. i first sign on as a naval specialist, combat. after a few years, you will be eligible to convert over to NDU. if you did not recieved the letter, dont worry, another way is you go through the normal BMT in tekong, from there, express your interest and sign on with the navy. go through OCS, and become an officer. after a few years, you’ll be able to convert over to NDU. ”

and yeah, both of us agreed that the diver is cute. Must be the pure oxygen they have been breathing doing the trick.
Aaron, please look on the brighter side, I still have space for mattress in my room. Seriously. LOL

I hardly/rarely get angry i don’t like it when i do although i can manage my anger pretty well.

I don’t go on a rage, i don’t explode (although i would like to), I implode.

I’ve got my results for previous semester (semester 2) and although it was way better than semester 1, it slightly went down on the cumulative cause I did alot better back in Year 1.

And YES, right now I feel like imploding at myself.

east to west x 2!

February 17, 2009

W00t! It’s been a month since I last updated. School holidays have started, CNY is over, Vday is over!

I’m halfway through my holidays, I’m not working and I kinda like the feeling of this. Gives me a long break before I start the hectic third year flooded with projects and meeting. And I’m not slacking or rotting my life away, trying to find fun and meaningful activities to do. Okay, maybe less on that meaningful.

I’ve signed up for Sundown and the route isn’t very motivating

sundown_raceroute1

The red track is enough to kill and demoralise you. Its a straight path, roughly the distance of the runway next to the airport and you can never see the end. Its like standing by the beach and looking at the horizon. I’ve no idea how am I gonna die with my 3 other friends.  Let’s just hope we don’t run till Kembangan MRT and start heading back home.

I spent Vday with 6 other guys doing night cycling! How fun!

We started off from East Coast Park -> Tanjong Rhu -> Stadium Road -> Nicoll Highway – > F1 pit stop  -> Marina South -> Marina Barrage -> Shenton Way -> VivoCity -> Pasir Panjang Road -> West Coast Park -> Pasir Panjang Road -> VivoCity -> Shenton Way -> F1 Pit Building  -> Nicoll Highway – > Stadium Road -> Tanjong Rhu -> East Coast Park

We clocked 58km! We see group datings at Tanjong Rhu and teenager doing the chicken dance, couples and families at Marina Barrage, quarrelling couple at HarbourFront Centre over money and alcohol. LOL. It’s 1 whole night of  our dear Riduan lost track of us at ECP for near 1 hour, exciting journey of committing offences,  near road accidents and crashing into poles and fences, seeing 1 Honda Fit driver passing by you and when you see him infront, he’s being stopped for drink driving, uncle riding on electric bicycle going up slope on Nicoll Highway and slowly go pass us while we pedal our life away.

The most important lesson learnt? PLEASE APPRECIATE  YOUR CUSHIONED SEAT. And if you don’t know how to. You can try our cycling routes.

the story of john

December 29, 2008

John was employed by A company during this vacation and spend about 3 months working there till school reopens. Subsequently, he was sought by the same employer during a short break and spend 2 weeks there. However, he felt that he wasn’t productive enough during his stay at the company but his employer was pretty pleased with his performance.

So how?

Christmas is over and soon comes 2009. So what is your new year resolution? Have you even thought of any?

This year countdown to Christmas was a wet down, extremely wet. Was pouring heavily and the mood I guess was somewhat dampen. HA! Stayed at home the whole day on Christmas day, unbelievable. The mood at Orchard was somewhat pretty high but it attracted way too much people till it became very congested. The duration walking  from one place to another took nearly twice the time, total horrid.

2008 is almost coming to an end and that marks my 8th year into this millennium. Let’s just do a summary of it!

2000

  1. Over and done with 6 years of primary education and starting to realize how screw up my future can be.

2001

  1. Enlisted Enrolled into the famous ahbeng school Teck Whye Secondary (Seriously famous for ahbeng).
  2. Saw my first public caning during the 2nd day of school. (Refer to the point 1 above)
  3. Joined National Cadet Corps ( because badminton club was full i think) and AVA club (cause i just know the perks of being inside 🙂 )
  4. Started my Secondary 1 education with don’t know what to expect and realized my most hated subject is literature.
  5. Started being treated like slave or dog, whatever you call it. When people says run to the tree, touch the tree and come back we literally do it.
  6. March my life away up and down the damn carpark.
  7. Had my first school based camp and from there, I know the true meaning of Spooky. (The school building is 30 plus year old building and the area is also quite famous for its glorious history of you-know-what).
  8. Got punish for having a very good CO night performance. WTH?!
  9. Got my turtle shell without legs. ( Got rank already leh! But still was the lowest lifeform)
  10. Seen how books can fly out of class every now and then. (Not from my class, from the Express class instead).

2002

  1. Moved to the new campus cause the old one is way too old. (Old meaning the toilets are fixed with those brown 1cmx1cm tiles, cubical doors are made of aluminium instead of plastic).
  2. Basketball session after school everyday life begins..
  3. Realised the size of the parade square was way too pathetic.
  4. Continued the dog and slave life every Saturday. (Damn the school for being 6 storey high)
  5. My NCC unit adopted their new favourite tree. The tree died subsequently and was chopped off. =D
  6. Received my first 2 decoration on uniform. (Metallic Shield Badge. Blink Blink leh!)
  7. Damn the school gate for being 250metres away from my Unit room in a straight path.
  8. Studied the favourite of all time in Science lesson, Chapter 6 and 7.
  9. Public caning became part of what’s to be covered on morning assembly during a period of time
  10. Had my first Trainfire package training at HQ the first time. More like a monkey see monkey do session for us. When command is given out, you see heads turning left and right.
  11. NO CampFEAST! (Don’t ask me why, I was just 1 level above the lowest lifeform)
  12. GOH and PDS for School’s speech day.
  13. Was sent to some SCDF course sent by the unit/HQ. Things learnt? How to open up a stretcher 🙂
  14. Went on to Sec 3 with clean record. 🙂

2003

  1. Still marching my life away.
  2. Went for 3D animation, cartoon drawing course for the school opening ceremony project. (Holiday burnt)
  3. In charge of the Audio and Visual support required during the opening ceremony.
  4. Countless of rehearsals (Holiday burnt again)
  5. Was nominated to go for Mount Ophir trip. Spend the night at Blk 425 and heard the Imperial Troop of Japan marching during the wee hours. 長い間生で帝国の王! Was treated even more dog-ly and inhumanly during the pre trip preparation.
  6. Came back in 1 piece and yeah, would say quite an achievement. 🙂
  7. My turtle now has legs!
  8. Sent for Specialist Course with don’t know what to expect. Ya-da my way through. Had 1 day of revision and was the Best in Trainfire. (Refer to 2002,  point 10)
  9. Book in and out of camp everyday for 4 days cause of SARS.
  10. Passed my Specialist Course, ARMY-NCC badge test with 2nd Sergeant.
  11. Sent for Senior Specialist Course and almost came back with a Senior 2nd Sergeant. Contradicting eh?
  12. Send for OBS. viola! Time of my life over there.
  13. Had subject streaming, chose Design and Technology. ( Still don’t know if I made the right choice).
  14. Almost failed my Sec 3! Was TRANSFERRED TO SECONDARY 4!. Not promoted. WHEE! (Refer to 2002, point 2) 😀

2004

  1. Realized it’s time to study like finally.
  2. Appointed Part C PC and subsequently to ASM because my USM is such a talent and is highly sought after at every CCA.
  3. Study and play at the same time.
  4. Suddenly I was at the top of the lifeform hierarchy.
  5. Night classes, tuition classes, bla bla bla
  6. The everyday basketball after school life still continues…
  7. Went for my N levels
  8. Results Day, please refer to year 2000 point 1 🙂

2005

  1. Proceed to ITE for education. (ahbeng school again)
  2. Starts to realise what I do now will determine what I do for a living in the future.
  3. Visit West Mall like nobody’s business.
  4. Went to 49th CLT and lecturer thought I got captured by aliens and called up my parents.
  5. Back to the life of being the lowest lifeform again.
  6. Various appointment for different camps. First was logistic. How glamorous!
  7. Life revolves around NCC, School. Suddenly the basketball life was over.
  8. Met a few good friends whom we’re still in contact now.

2006

  1. Continued my ITE education.
  2. Was involved to assist the police in an assault case. (Refer to 2005 point 1)
  3. Final year for my ITE and starts to worry where would I end up after ITE.
  4. More camps, more NCC.
  5. National Camp 2006. Slackest camp ever! Woke up in the morning for breakfast, back to sleep, woke up for lunch, bring the bus uncle around the camp to pick up kids, back to sleep, woke up for dinner, bring the same uncle around, in and out of camp to pick up kids.
  6. Realised the turtle power of David Low, how we end up in Siberia because of him.
  7. Many many camps and many many appointments and learnt many many things.
  8. Graduated from ITE.

2007

  1. Applied for Polytechnic
  2. Received the letter that every Singaporean boy fears. YOU ARE HEREBY REQUIRED UNDER SECTION 10 OF THE ENLISTMENT ACT  (CAP 93) TO REPORT FOR ENLISTMENT ON 13 APR 2007 AT 8.30AM TO 35TH BATTALION SINGAPORE COMBAT ENGINEERS (35SCE)

  2. Life was so much better, manage to blend into many many things.
  3. Starts to think that changing classes every semester is a torture and chore.
  4. More attention paid during classes, lectures. ( I think)
  5. Got enlightened and realize where my forte is!
  6. Life was still pretty much the same
  7. Went for ICEP to Thailand and I would say it was a pretty good experience. Learnt quite alot of stuff as well. Done my first Oversea Community Project, still loving it.
  8. Cut down on NCC totally! Retired! 🙂
  9. Life simply revolves around friends, family, school. No life, I know…

Can’t recall much about 2008. I’m only good at recalling things that happen long time ago.

Till then, start thinking of how you gonna spend the last few days of 2008 wisely. 🙂

WAH

December 17, 2008

yeah, Howdy wordpress.

WAH! wordpress launch their new dashboard. Took me quite sometime to know how to post a new entry.

Finally my acer is back on my desk, but the performance is beyond words. I seriously don’t know what happen it’s like living off the life support machine like WOW who would expect this to happen. I reckon it will fail me again anytime soon and then… IM ANOTHER STEP CLOSER TO MACBOOK!  jeng jeng jeng

Had my 20th birthday on Saturday, Thanks for the the well wishes, gifts and surprises people. Appreciated. Really! Thanks people!

And congrats to Md Riduan for being awarded the Falcon Company Best Recruit eh. I’m still waiting for my Sakura treat. Uh potential OCT.

My knee haven’t been very cooperating for the past few days, maybe it’s time to have a regular maintenance of WD-40 or some industrial lubricant and I haven’t been running cause of my knee.

I’ve started my holidays like finally! No more work! No more hassle of checking mailbox every now and then, clearing junk mail etc etc. This week of holidays is pretty much of an entertainment week. Watch movies, listen to mind blasting songs, yeah, mind blasting, my never ending CSI(s) and chinese drama. There are still so many books I wanna buy but there’s also an equal amount of book left on the shelf unread totally and my shopping at Ikea for bookshelves is making no progress. Its like, having the intention of buying bookshelves and sub consciously walking into the restaurant and going home empty handed with a stomach-full of meatballs and chicken wings.

And to boyboy, thanks for bringing us to the barbeque yesterday. And the question still remains,  Why were we there at the barbeque, and why are we even going there to begin with?

Only you know the answer la boy.
